Hwange Day Trip

Hwange National Park is one of the finest conservation areas in Zimbabwe and contains an enormous variety of all big and small game species and birdlife. The Park is 14 651 sq. Km and is largely Kalahari system with flat plains and natural pans. In the dry season, huge herds of buffalo and elephant can often be seen at the waterholes and to date 25 predator species have been recorded in the Park as well as some 400 species of birdlife

Please remember to organise a packed breakfast from your hotel. 05:15 You will be collected from your Hotel reception for your day trip to Hwange National Park. A 2 hour drive which takes you through the small town of Hwange, and an area of rural Africa with villages and fields dotted about the landscape. On arrival at Hwange Safari Lodge you will transfer to an open Game Viewing vehicle for your picnic day trip into the Park. Hwange is one of the largest Parks in Africa and is home to the last great free ranging Elephant populations which move between Hwange and Chobe in Botswana.
