Tours: Cultural, Sanctuary and Combinations

Village Visit
You will be collected from your hotel reception by a Bushtracks Guide, a 20 minute drive to rural village near Victoria Falls town where you are given the opportunity to interact with local villagers going about their daily tasks. The tour enables the client to see rural life first hand; visiting rural homes, watching their fields being tended and possibly getting the chance to help in some of the day-to-day chores.

This tour lasts 2 ˝ Hours.

Township Tour
You will be collected from your hotel reception by a Bushtracks Guide, a 10 minute drive into the local suburb of Chinotimba, you will have the opportunity to meet with a local family and learn about the life in Africa. Afterward we visit the local school for a tour conducted by one of the teaching staff.

This tour lasts 2 ˝ Hours.

Nature Sanctuary (Crocodile Farm)
Spencers Creek is a working crocodile farm and offers an opportunity to learn more about these fascinating creatures. Largely unchanged by over 150 million years of evolution they are one of nature’s most perfectly designed predators and yet in the wild are quite vulnerable to human encroachment. There is a Leather workshop on site.

The tour lasts 1 ˝ Hours.

Tour of Nature Sanctuary and Falls
This combined tour of the Victoria Falls and the Nature Sanctuary lasts 3 ˝ hours.

The Boma
You will be collected at your hotel reception by a Bushtracks Representative for a short transfer to the Boma. This provides a unique cultural experience that bombards the senses with the tastes, sights, sounds and smells of Africa. Together with the warmth and hospitality of Zimbabwe, and its people. It is open for Dinner 365 days of the year. The Boma nestles in a Gusu Forest and is partly open to the spectacular African night skies.

Advance reservations are necessary. Open from 7 pm, Drumming starts at 9pm, 20 minute show. Buffet Menu, Dress Casual. Accept Visa Card only.

Transfers need to booked and not included in the Boma Dinner rate.

Zambian Tour of Town and Museum
Whilst in Victoria Falls you may be interested in taking the opportunity to cross into Zambia for the day to explore the town of Livingstone. With its wide tree lined streets the town retains an old world charm and has many hidden treasures for you to discover. Visit the Falls on the Zambian side or take a trip down to Livingstone Island where, if the water level is right, you can swim in Devils Pool right on the lip of the Falls at certain times of the year. For those interested in history there is the Railway Museum or the Livingstone Museum to visit and lunch can be taken on the veranda of the club house, of the 100 year old Royal Livingstone Golf Course. Any visit to Zambia includes crossing the historical Victoria Falls Bridge which was built over 100 years ago and offers magnificent views of the Falls and Gorge. You could include a Bridge Activity or choose to Jet boat on the lower river in the rapids.

These trips can be booked to include the highlights of your preference and can be run on a half day or full day basis.

Full Day tour: 9 Hours (pick up at 10:00)
Tour of Livingstone Town, Museum, PM Tour of Eastern Cataract. Lunch option of your choice in Livingstone - to your account. After lunch you will commence to the Eastern Cataract.

Half Day Tour: 5 Hours (pick up at 08:00)
Tour of Livingstone Town, Museum, Tour of Eastern Cataract.
You will be collected from your hotel reception by our Bushtracks Representative for your day trip to Zambia. A short drive to the Zimbabwe Border you will disembark and clear immigration out of Zimbabwe. A 5 minute drive across the majestic Victoria Falls Bridge where you can view the waterfall and the Batoka Gorge as you cross. At the Zambian Border you will once again disembark for clear immigration into Zambia. A 20 minute drive to Livingstone. Tour of Town, and the Museum. A 20 minute drive to the Eastern Cataract of Victoria Falls. Return to Zimbabwe to your hotel.

Steam Train Bridge Run

Sundowners on the Bridge:
Winter 16:00/Summer 17:00, duration 1 ˝ hours. You will be collected from your hotel reception by our Bushtracks Representative - a short transfer to the Victoria Falls Station where you will board the Victoria Falls Steam Train. This beautifully restored steam train has 1953 class 14a steam locomotive, dining cars and first class coaches. Journey back in time on to the 106 year old Victoria Falls Bridge. You will be back at your hotel at approximately 17:30/18:30.

Local Alcohol, soft Drinks & Snacks served Min of 20 pax Maximum of 220. Dress Code Smart Casual – Passenger Manifest details required. Name, Nationality, Passport No and expiry date required with booking. Transfers need to be booked and costed. Not included in the Train Costing. Clients need passports on this excursion.

Moonlight Dinner Run
Winter 16:00/ Summer 17:00, duration 7 Hours. You will be collected from your hotel reception by our Bushtracks Representative - a short transfer to the Victoria Falls Station for your journey back in time. The train will steam onto the Bridge for Sunset Cocktails on the majestic Victoria Falls Bridge. At Sunset a slow, luxurious steam train journey takes you south into the Zambezi National Park for a Romantic Dinner. Huge Bon Fires greet you on arrival and keep you warm in winter or relax in the cool breeze of a summer’s eve, enjoy the night calls of Africa. After Deserts the party begins entertainment (traditional or disco) Local drinks. You will be back at your hotel at approximately 22:00. Minimum of 20 maximum of 60 pax - Dress Code Smart Casual. Passenger Manifest details required. Name, Nationality, Passport No and expiry date required with booking. $15.00 pp Park Fee not included. Transfers need to be booked. Not included in the Train Costing.Clients require passports on this excursion.

Elephant Hills Golf Club
Situated in the Grounds of the Elephant Hills Resort Elephant Hills Golf Club offers an 18 hole Golf Course.

Caddy’s can be arranged and Golf Clubs are available for hire. This course does not offer Golf Carts.

This course was designed by Gary Player and is one of the most beautiful in the World. With unusual obstacles wild antelope, Impala, water buck and Kudu as well as Warthog. Bunkers encourage accurate approach shots, 8 of the holes have water shots where one can expect to find the odd crocodile – be cautious retrieving balls!
