Below Lake Kariba, the Zambezi River flows into the lush woodland of the flood plains. Reed banks and water-lily fields cover the still waters and huge trees rise up along the river banks. This area is the newest National Park in Zambia and as such, is still untouched and wild. Although not as abundant in wildlife, there are still ample opportunities for spotting wildlife such as: leopard, buffalo, wild dog, zebra, lion and zebra as they frequent the many channels of the Zambezi River that snakes its way through the Park.
